Babergh District Council operates a twin bin scheme for collecting rubbish and recycling. Their Waste and recycling collection calendar 2015/16 describes what's collected when, and what kind of items are suitable for recycling.
In addition to the twin bin scheme provided by Babergh District Council (see above or ask your neighbour about which bins are collected when), there is a newly built recycling centre at the Brett Green gate of the playing field. At present it offers you the opportunity to recycle glass and fabrics.
The glass and the fabrics attract recycling credits from Babergh District Council which convert to cash to be used in the community by the Parish Council. The more we recycle, the more money the village will get, so please support this initiative.
For an annual fee of £47.50 you can opt to have a green waste bin which is emptied fortnightly throughout the year.
The Household Recycling Site is on the Industrial Estate off Lady Lane - Crockatt Road, Hadleigh, Suffolk, IP7 6AH for green waste and larger or dangerous items.
